Managing Director Construction
Pat holds overall responsibility for the Morgan Sindall Construction business. A member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), he joined Morgan Sindall in 2014 from Lend Lease, where he was most recently head of its public sector construction division. Prior to this, Pat held various wide-ranging senior level roles within Laing and Laing O’Rourke, including regional director, group HR director and managing director of Select Plant Hire.
Managing Director Infrastructure
A Chartered Quantity Surveyor with almost 30 years’ multi-sector experience, Simon joined the business in 2011 from Morrison Utility Services where he was commercial director (south) for seven years. He was appointed to the role of managing director of our Nuclear | Energy | Water business in 2013, being promoted to his current role in 2017. Previously he has also worked for Amec and Christiani & Nielsen.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Joe joined Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure in 2012. He has extensive experience across the construction and services sectors including mergers and acquisitions, business strategy and improvement programmes, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation as well as financial and commercial management.
SHE Director - Construction
Martin is NEBOSH qualified and oversees the management of health, safety and environment for the Construction business. He was SHEQ Team Leader for Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure from 2010, before being promoted to Principal SHQ Manager for Construction and Design in 2015. Martin has over 25 years’ construction industry experience in health, safety and the environment, along with a detailed knowledge of legislation, guidance and industry best practice. He also helps support and develop initiatives within the wider Construction Industry, most notably as Vice Chair of the Construction Health & Safety Group and as an active member of various mental health forums.
SHEQ Director - Infrastructure
Martin has more than 25 years’ UK and overseas experience across major construction and infrastructure projects in the fields of safety, health, environment and quality. He plays an active role in a number of construction industry forums including being the chair of Safer Highways, and has been involved with a range of industry research and development projects during his career.
Director of Procurement and Employee Relations - Construction
Simon is part of the Morgan Sindall Construction leadership team with responsibility for our procurement & supply chain, HR and communications teams. Simon joined Morgan Sindall Group in January 2014 as group head of procurement, and subsequently became the procurement & supply chain director for Construction. Simon joined from Carillion where he was supply chain director and then managing director for a joint venture business. Prior to that, Simon held senior procurement and supply chain management roles at Rolls-Royce plc and Royal Mail Group.
HR Director - Infrastructure
Katie joins Morgan Sindall Infrastructure with over 20 years of experience of both HR and operational management in a number of sectors. As a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Katie holds a post graduate qualification in HR Management. Her areas of expertise include HR strategy development and delivery; engagement and culture change; and inclusion and diversity. Katie has a passion for facilitating an environment that is built on trust. She is dedicated to encouraging professional behaviours and developing capabilities and networks that support and cultivate this environment. Prior to joining Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, Katie held a number of senior roles in Tarmac.
Managing Director Construction Yorkshire and North East
Andy joined the business in 2015 from GB Group, where he held the role of managing director of its Construction business. Previously he has held several senior commercial and director positions at Laing O’Rourke. With more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge as a business leader with a proven track record of shaping, growing and leading complex construction or property challenges across a wide range of sectors. Andy has a passion for establishing long-lasting relationships founded upon an open, ethical, honest and down-to-earth approach.
Managing Director Construction North West
Barry joined Morgan Sindall in 2005 as area director for our construction business, being promoted to his current role in 2018. He joined us from Birse Construction, where he worked as operations director in the north west. Barry began his career in 1984 as a graduate trainee with Balfour Beatty, where he progressed to senior engineer working nationwide on a series of large and complex projects.
Managing Director Construction Central
A Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Sean joined the business in 2016 from Galliford Try, where he held managing director roles for the Central and Northern Home Counties regions. With both operational and commercial experience, Sean has developed and led businesses across a broad range of sectors in construction and development, placing emphasis on employee growth to establish strong, high performing teams that deliver value for our customers.
Managing Director Construction London and Home Counties
A chartered MSc-qualified quantity surveyor, Sean joined Morgan Sindall Construction in 2016 from BAM Construct UK, where he held leadership roles in London and the South East. Sean has more than 25 years’ construction experience, with specific emphasis on key account management in both the public and private sectors. He has also worked at framework director level and most notably on Argent’s flagship Kings Cross regeneration development.
Managing Director Construction East
Peter was appointed to his current role managing our Construction East business unit in 2019, joining us from Midas Group, where he worked as divisional director for the southern region. Prior to this he held senior roles at Wates Group, Amec and Laing O'Rourke, starting his career with Laing Construction in its eastern region, where he successfully ran projects for 15 years. Peter joined Amec in 2004 which became part of the Morgan Sindall Group, running the Ipswich office until 2010 before relocating to run the South West business.
Managing Director Construction Scotland
A structural engineer by training, Stuart joined Morgan Sindall Group in 2009, working for our BakerHicks division as business development director with operational responsibility for Scotland. In 2015 Stuart became business development director for Morgan Sindall’s Construction Scotland business, earning promotion to his current role in 2017. With a focus on delivering exceptional customer service, Stuart’s sector experience includes education, health, justice, community, commercial, leisure, retail and industrial.
Integrated Strategic Business Director – Construction
Alex is responsible for the leadership of the Integrated Strategic Business (ISB) national team, delivering projects through Investment Related Business working with fellow Morgan Sindall Group companies, national clients and frameworks. Alex joined Morgan Sindall in 2009 having held previous roles at a regional contractor and developer. A member of the CIOB, Alex is passionate about the construction industry and delivering exceptional customer service.
Managing Director Energy and Water
A Chartered Civil Engineer with 35 years’ industry experience both in the UK and abroad, Tim joined our business in 2016 as project director for our Thames Tideway Tunnel joint venture, and now manages our Energy and Water business. Previously Tim worked at Kier Group in several roles including as regional managing director in the Caribbean and Middle East.
Managing Director Nuclear
With more than 24 years’ experience across the construction, engineering, utilities and telecommunications industries, Eldon joined Morgan Sindall Infrastructure in 2018 as a business unit engineering director, receiving promotion to his current role in 2020. During this time he played a key role in the team that secured our £1.8bn, 20 year Programme and Project Partners contract with Sellafield. Prior to this Eldon was operations director at Carillion, where he looked after its projects business, with previous experience in senior level positions at Carillion Telent, Telent and Marconi.
Managing Director Rail
Peter joined us in 2019 from Balfour Beatty, where he was managing director of its Specialist Services business. Prior to this, Peter worked at Balfour Beatty for 15 years in a variety of roles including rail business development director and head of regional rail projects. Peter, who is a chartered engineer, brings leadership experience in manufacturing, construction and technology, with a strong background across the rail and utilities sectors.
Managing Director Highways
A Chartered Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Paul joined the business through its acquisition of AMEC Construction in 2007. Having worked in several senior and director positions in our Tunnelling and Infrastructure businesses, he was appointed to his current role in 2017.
