Pat Boyle joins Morgan Sindall executive team

Morgan Sindall, the construction, infrastructure and design company, has appointed Pat Boyle as managing director with overall responsibility for its construction and design businesses.

Reporting to Graham Shennan, Morgan Sindall’s managing director, Pat joined the company on Monday 6 January from Lend Lease where he was recently head of their public sector construction business. Prior to this, he held various wide ranging senior level roles within Laing and Laing O’Rourke.

Morgan Sindall is one of five divisions of Morgan Sindall Group plc. Pat has been recruited to steer the expansion of Morgan Sindall’s construction and design businesses. He will work directly with the construction and design managing directors, to support them in ensuring the achievement of sustained profitable growth.

“I am delighted to be joining Morgan Sindall and am truly excited about the opportunity that lies ahead,” says Pat. “Morgan Sindall has a powerful proposition and a strong reputation, and we are extremely well positioned to take advantage of the upturn in our markets. I will be working collaboratively with my colleagues to ensure that we further deliver outstanding quality and service for our customers as well as generating increasingly profitable returns for the company.”

Graham Shennan, managing director of Morgan Sindall, comments: “Pat brings to Morgan Sindall outstanding expertise and a proven depth of industry knowledge. He will work alongside the design and construction business managing directors to ensure that we take full advantage of relevant opportunities which will create both short and long term growth. His appointment brings real value to my senior team.”

The appointment of Pat Boyle comes on the back of a number of key contract and framework wins for Morgan Sindall and Morgan Sindall Professional Services in 2013 across a range of sectors. These include the £19 million contract to construct the new Matalan office building at Knowsley Industrial Park, the appointment to the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) design and build framework covering the East Midlands and Eastern England region and securing a place on Gatwick Airport’s framework agreement for the provision of design, engineering and architectural services.
