Morgan Sindall shows its commitment to fairness, inclusion and respect
Morgan Sindall’s London business has achieved a Bronze accreditation in the Be Fair (Built Environment Fairness, Inclusion and Respect) pilot initiative. This is a Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) scheme to promote fairness, inclusion and respect across the built environment sector.
The construction, infrastructure and design firm applied for, and achieved, a Bronze level accreditation, which demonstrates that it is an organisation that has systems in place to ensure it is fair and inclusive towards its employees and supply chain members. Morgan Sindall is one of only 12 large main contractors to earn a place on the pilot assessment, and, to date, is the highest scoring main contractor.
The company received consistently high scores in each of the five module areas assessed by CITB. These included ‘The Organisational Supply Chain for Large Main Contractors’ (where Morgan Sindall scored 100%), ‘The Site Environment for Large Main Contractors’ (100%), ‘Organisational Employment for Large Main Contractors’ (100%), ‘Organisational Policies and Procedures for Large Main Contractors’ (97%) and ‘Organisational Commitment to the Be Fair Framework for Large Main Contractors’ (100%). This gave Morgan Sindall its overall score of 99%.
Sam French, Strategic Inclusion and Community Manager at Morgan Sindall, said: “We take fairness, inclusion and respect very seriously. This certification from CITB is testament to the fact that our approach is more than rhetoric. Our systems are put into practice, and they work. Our enviable position in Be Fair rankings has established us as an industry leader here”.
