Morgan Sindall appointed to next generation MOD capital works frameworks
Morgan Sindall has secured a place on the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) design and build frameworks covering the South East and South West regions.
The Capital Works Frameworks, which are being procured under the Next Generation Estate Contracts (NGEC) programme governs individual MOD construction projects valued up to £12 million. Overall, the frameworks are estimated to be worth up to £1.1 billion over an initial four year period, with the option to extend by up to a further three years.
Morgan Sindall is one of five companies that will be competing for work on the frameworks. Companies will be bidding for projects with a total value of £700 million in the South West and £400 million in the South East.
The company’s appointment follows its selection to the MOD’s NGEC East and East Midlands regional framework for design and build projects in 2013.
Andy Parker, director of defence at Morgan Sindall, said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed to the MOD’s NGEC Frameworks in both the South East and South West. Morgan Sindall has a long track record of successfully delivering projects for the MOD and our seasoned team is adept at operating in a secure defence environment.
“As an organisation, Morgan Sindall prides itself on remaining focussed on understanding and meeting the customer’s needs. It’s about having the flexibility and responsiveness to help the military meet its operational needs, whether that’s a new barracks, training facility or administrative building.
“We look forward to building upon the relationships already developed on the East and East Midlands framework as we work closely with DIO to deliver defence infrastructure to meet the needs of our Armed Forces.”
