Leena helps Tideway team adopt innovative construction wear

A Thames Tideway Tunnel employee working on London's 'super sewer' has helped design two innovative items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for women on construction sites who observe the hijab and the burka.

Leena Begum, who works as a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator for the joint venture building the west section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel, came up with the designs after encountering difficulties in finding suitable protective clothing to wear on site.
